We don't want your data.

• No account. Nothing to sign up for. No email, no username, no profile.
• No app telemetry. No analytics. No crash reports. No usage counts. Not "off by default" — absent from the Switchman binary.
• No link logging. Your URLs stay on your Mac. There is no server to send them to.
• Pro activation. The only time Switchman talks to our server: you send your email, we send back a 6-digit code. That's it. Email is hashed at rest, used only for activation and critical security notices. Never marketing.
• iCloud sync (Pro). When switched on, rules, application choices and routing switches sync through your iCloud private database under your account — never through Switchman servers. Activation state, link counts and site-icon cache stay local. It is off by default and nothing moves while it is off.
• Website analytics. This website counts page views, download clicks, Pro button clicks, which FAQ questions get opened and which language people switch to. It runs GA4 with storage denied: no cookies are set, no identifier is created, and nothing is left on your device to join one visit to the next. There is no banner because there is nothing to agree to. It never receives link contents, email addresses, license data or purchase identity, and advertising signals are switched off. You can still stop the counting in this browser:
• No link redirector. We never route your clicks through our servers. That would make us the one party who could see every link you open — exactly what this app exists to avoid.
• Site icon & short link resolution. Both are opt-in. Both resolve locally where possible. Short link resolution contacts the destination server directly from your Mac, not through us.
• Update checks. Switchman asks our server once a day for a static XML file listing the current version, and downloads a new build only when you accept it. The request carries no identifier — the only thing it says about you is which version you are on, which is what the server needs to answer the question. This is on by default, because a routing app sitting on an old build is the worse outcome; About → Check for new versions automatically turns it off and it stays off.
• What our host counts. Cloudflare serves this site and our downloads, and counts requests at its edge the way any web host does. We read those totals — page views, download counts, and how many update checks arrived from each app version. We do not read, store or query IP addresses, and nothing links one request to another or to a person. There is no per-user or per-machine record to read, because none is kept.
